Parade of Lights

Kick off the holiday season with sparkle and cheer at the 27th Annual Tinley Park Parade of Lights! One of Tinley Park’s earliest traditions during the holiday season, this beloved community event brings families, friends, neighbors and businesses together for a dazzling evening of lights, music, and holiday magic in the heart of downtown Tinley Park.

The Parade of Lights features a joyful procession of illuminated floats, local businesses, non-profits, civic organizations, marching bands, and special guests — including Santa Claus himself, so bundle up, grab some hot cocoa, and experience the warmth and wonder of the season with us. Don’t forget your mittens, cameras, and holiday spirit!

Date: Sunday, December 7th, 2025
Time: Parade lines up at 4:00pm, Parade steps off at 5:00pm
Location: Tinley Center, 177th & Oak Park Avenue
Parade Route: 177th Street to 172nd Street

What to Expect

• Brightly decorated floats and vehicles
• Police, fire, emergency and public works vehicles
• Marching bands and holiday music
• Community groups, dance troupes, and local businesses
• A chance to meet with Santa after the parade in the Holiday tent

And like the Irish Parade, we’ve created a special way for all members to participate and gain exposure. It’s a simple way to connect with the community and get your business noticed — no float or walking shoes required!

By purchasing a Chamber Float Sponsorship, your business will receive:

• A sponsored sign on the Chamber float, proudly displayed during the parade
• Your logo featured on a printed flyer handed out to attendees along the route
• Inclusion in our digital media promotion, including social media shoutouts and event marketing
